I have worked in the field of dementia for over 30 years, and also have the experience of caring for my mother who dementia, and my father who lived with and cared for her.
I worked for many years at The Dementia Research Centre (DRC) and MRC Prion Unit in Queen Square with people affected by rare forms of dementia and prion disease.
I am now working hard to design and develop meaningful interventions for people living with dementia and their families and friends. I co-constructed Positive Spin and have more recently set up For Brian CIC, a not for profit company looking to improve the lives of people living with dementia and their families. I administrate this forum, set up as a resource for families and professional caregivers.
